Why I love Labour Disruptions
At the present, in Canada, there are a couple of larger companies which are suffering from labour disputes. Telus is one, which makes me frustrated and not at all happy only because I never wanted to support them in the first place.
However CBC is the other. I don't receive cable and our bunny ears are broken so this has not disrupted my television watching. I do on the otherhand receive CBC radio 1 and 2 (and possibly 3). I am, as I type, listening to a wonderful program of uninterrupted classical music. I am hoping the labour disruptions go on for ever. There are also more modern collections of music on during the daytime if you don't appreciate a few hours of piano concertos.
For anyone who does like the odd classical moment there are no annoying announcers who make cheesy comments which really don't matter to me. There is no commercials, in fact there are no breaks what so ever. The only pauses occur between movements and once an hour when we are told the reason for our uninterrupted bliss is due to labour disputes. I say keep disputing as long as you want! Tune in to FM 90.9 in Edmonton to sample the station.
