Thanksgiving

This weekend is Canadian Thanksgiving. I cant wait to go home, although the bus ride is going to be... long.

I finally bit the bullet and got a Red Arrow 5 pack. This note is to greyhound. Your bus service sucks, Red Arrow should take over the entire province in providing affordable transportation. Not only are their buses cleaner, newer and more efficient, they also provide complimentary drinks, snacks and their tv's work. They have more leg and seat room, they have laptop plug ins AND most importantly the bathrooms dont smell that bad.

(Can you tell that I have taken the bus a lot?)

Anyway, back to Thanksgiving. While we quickly lose the sight of the original thanksgiving once we leave grade 5, the meaning of the holiday has evolved to become almost more special.

In a society where we are isolated in work and move miles and miles from our families, the real thanks we are giving is for our families and the time we get to spend with them.

Almost every moment I spend with my family is important to me, even the moments that are VERY trying on my patience.

I thank my parents and family for being there with me and for me whenever I need them.

  • I like Thanksgiving. I enjoy the family time that comes with it. It's like Christmas that way, minus all the hustle and bustle.
