Français

Aujourdui j'ai aller a mon cours de français. J'ai avoir un examen. Il as est TRES simple. Ok that's pretty much all I know how to say and the constant thinking that goes with writing in french and getting the accents to work is immense.

While I was taking the test I found myself thinking about two things. The first was that I almost wished that the test was harder. I couldn't believe how short and easy it was, although Im sure I still messed up the spelling and masculine/feminines.

The second was how much more thinking working in another language is. While I was in europe I would find myself exhausted at the end of the day, not just because of everything I was seeing and walking to see, but because I was CONSTANTLY translating. France wasnt THAT bad because I am actually decent at reading french. However, combine the french that is comming back with Spanish, Italian, German, Czech, Polish and God Forbid.... Hungarian. I would find myself blurting out the answer in the wrong language all the time. And trying to switch one language off and the other on (even in my limited knowledge) was SO hard. People say learning one language is hard. However I think that learning two or three at once is the real challenge.

Kudos to the ESL students in my french class. I cant do what you are doing right now.
